Hampton Presbyterian Church has extensive music programming that welcomes your participation and requires varying degrees of musical skills. With a variety of worship opportunities, there is also a variety of music programs for involvement. All programs focus on leading worshippers to praise to our Lord and King through music. For further information about any of these music programs, please email Ginny Dawson or call her at 724-443-3201 x306.
Are you getting married? Do you need some help picking music? Our organist, Phil Graebing, has put together some information to help. Please click here to see the extensive list of music he's put together. Phil can also be reached via email.
The Chancel Choir rehearses Thursday nights from 7:30p - 8:30p and leads 11:00a Sunday Worship except for summer months. A wide variety of genres are sung. Anthems are rehearsed at least 4 weeks ahead of time so attendance is not required each week. Please join us anytime!
The Hampton Handbells team requires eleven ringers who have the ability to read music. This group practices Thursday evening from 6:15p - 7:15p and rings about once a month – especially at Christmas and Easter. We would welcome new “ding-a-lings” who are willing to have fun making music!
The Youth Handbell team, comprised of middle school and high school students, has emerged quite talented with their music reading skills. They rehearse for several Sunday evenings immediately before youth group and play in worship when their music is ready.
Kids of the Kingdom
Our children's choir, Kids of the Kingdom, is aimed at children in kindergarten through grade five. Two highlights are their carrying palms on Palm Sunday Worship and their Christmas pageant! They rehearse for two to three Sundays before leading in worship at 11AM.
HPC Girl's Ensemble
The HPC Girl's Ensemble includes young ladies from sixth grade and up. They rehearse before youth group and lead Worship at 11:00a on Sundays several times annually. They create harmony with contemporary Christian music.
Turning Point Band
The Turning Point Band leads Sunday Worship at 9:30a and leads Worship with vocals, guitars, percussion, and keyboard. They rehearse on Thursday evenings at 6:30p. For more information on the Turning Point Band, please email Marie Doerge.
8:30 Praise Band
The 8:30 Praise Band, a more intimate band in the sanctuary, leads Sunday Worship at 8:30a with vocalist, guitar, percussion and keys. Rehearsal is Sunday morning prior to the service.
Brass Players are always needed and are used to augment our special services on Christmas Eve, Easter, and the Swing Band.
